Tommy Hilfiger x Nike

A streetwear twist on vintage Tommy.

Whilst back in my hometown of London over summer, I spent the summers days walking around Camden market and Shoreditch, thrifting for vintage pieces that fitted my style. During one of my many trips to my favourite vintage shop ‘What Goes Around Comes Around’ in Camden, I spotted an amazing pair of black shorts – perfect for the heatwave. To my surprise, they were good as new vintage Tommy Hilfiger shorts with a high waist and plenty of subtle embellishments. Instantly I’d planned around 6 different outfits in my head – so I just had to buy them.

Like any millennial whos’ into fashion, I Depop 75% of my life and thrift the other 25% so I’m sure it’s no surprise to anyone that my top is from Depop. This red and black scuba crop became a staple in my wardrobe over summer and saw many nights out. This top is one of my most beloved as the material is breathable and stretchy enough to sculpt you but also make you feel comfortable in wearing it. Its panel design is both fun and form-fitting with the front zip adding a bit of cheek to an overall nice top.

The shoes are my go-to kicks – the 110s, or more commonly known as – Nike Air Max 95s. Out of my entire 48 pair strong collection of footwear – I would say my personal favourite trainer will always be some variation of a 95. For this particular fit, I opted out of my usual silver bullets for a black pair of 95s. These particular pair have a red inner tongue and a grey trim around the foot hole. Given my grey hair and silver jewellery, alongside my red top, I opted for this pair. I’d rate these shoes a solid 8.5/10 as they served me well walking around London for 10 hours and climbing statues around Waterloo.

I wanted to keep my accessories to a minimal so I wore a standard pair of silver hoops (duh?) and a chunky chain choker. I also wore a silver vintage Tiffany’s oval bracelet. My bag for the day was my favourite day to day bag which is my Armani bag,  which was gifted to me by my boyfriend before I went back home for summer. It’s a Red and white panelled tote with a black strap and gold detailing. The belt I wanted to wear unfortunately didn’t arrive in time but it was another Tommy piece that would have tied together the look quite nicely!
