Glasgow Set for Two Days of Horror this Halloween

Prepare to be scared this Halloween at Glasgow Horror Fest 2018, with fans able to get their spook on at The Classic Grand and Stereo from 27-28 October.

This is the fourth year of the popular festival and this time it is bigger and better than ever before. The festival will feature a comic con style convention hub, with Halloween and horror vendors, artists, video games, buskers and freak shows. There will also be a chance for fans to grab pictures with FX live monsters and mermaids. There will also be a stage with horror shows, an original horror musical, SFX demos and guest speakers, who will talk on subjects including horror gaming history and sleep paralysis.

The festival will showcase Scottish and student horror films, including the premiere of ‘Matriarch’, which was created by ex River City actor Scott Vickers. The film has been given great reviews and the cast and crew will be holding a Q&A after the screening. Film fans can expect, alongside ‘Matriarch’, a screening of Vincent Price classic ‘House on Haunted Hill’ where a ghoul would fly off the screen and into the audience.

There will also be a one-night-only escape room inspired by 80s horror films. ‘The House With Neon Windows’ will see teams try to solve thirteen murders in order to escape an 80s Halloween party where nobody has returned alive. The room includes a unique musical soundtrack and a horror host making sure nobody leaves alive.

Festival tickets are available at the link below, with students offered a 20% discount using the code ‘ILOVEHORROR’.
