Bingo Loco is an experience like no other, it is taking Glasgow by storm with tickets selling out almost as soon as they go on sale.
Held in the O2 Academy, this fusion of bingo and rave creates one of the best nights out you will experience in Glasgow.
You receive your bingo card and pen and participate in a massive game of bingo, with a twist.
The prizes are almost ludicrous but very Glaswegian. For example; a bottle of Buckfast, a four pack of Tennents a voucher for Greggs and many more.
The final and best prize of the evening is always a weekend city break to somewhere like Dublin.
There is a DJ who provides the music for the entire night and who is also heavily involved in hyping up the audience and getting everyone up dancing.
In between rounds they have a quick five minutes of music and halfway through the night glow sticks are handed out for a 15-minute rave before the last two rounds of Bingo.
There wasn’t a single person, staff included, who didn’t have a little dance at some point throughout the night.
The three presenters didn’t stop dancing and I was actually surprised they didn’t pass out from exhaustion.
Special cocktails specifically for the event were also on sale at the bar at a very reasonable price and queues for the toilets were never excessive.
There are warnings on all of the tables and chairs not to climb on any of them as they are quite delicate and would probably collapse, so even if you end up drunker than you’ve ever been remember not to climb!
If you end up not winning any prizes the night as a whole beyond makes up for that and you will definitely not be in the mood to go straight home when it finishes.
Tickets cost £15 each and can be purchased on the Bingo Loco website.
